Following the success of the Fairburn
Christmas Craft Fair in December 2006 and the Summer
Craft Fair in June 2007, stallholders returned to
Fairburn Lodge for the Christmas Craft Fair 2007.
On Sunday 18th November,
sixteen different craft stalls were set up throughout
the ground floor, displaying a wide range of interesting
festive items. Over one hundred people came to do a
bit of early Christmas shopping and enjoy the delicious
home made soup and cakes.
In keeping with tradition to raise money
for a local charity, the Christmas collage project this
year was 'Jingle Baubles'
with the proceeds this time going to Crossroads Care.
As well as a wonderful collection of
bauble designs from the staff and patients at Fairburn
House, we were delighted to have 30 bauble designs from
the children and teachers of Marybank Primary School. A
total of 62 'Jingle Baubles'
were displayed at the Christmas Fair and will
remain on show until the Centre closes for the holidays
in December.
The total money raised at the Christmas
Fair and which will be going to the Crossroads Care
charity is £310.
Thank you
to everyone who took part in the collage project and who
came to shop at the Christmas Fair – see you next time!
