The aim of the Challenge is to raise money for Fairburn Activity and Conference Centre's  chosen charity for the year which is 'Crossroads' and to raise awareness of the Centre. This will be done by hosting the Challenge in which a maximum of 25 teams, consisting of four people will participate.  Each team will pay an entry fee £40 (£10 per person) to cover the staffing etc and raise a minimum of £100 per team to go towards the Crossroads charity.

Format: the Challenge is in the form of a race.  Two teams will start with five minute intervals to allow time for the challenges.  Time taken to complete the course will be reduced by thirty seconds for each five points scored on the various challenges.  This will introduce the element of strategies, for example flat out for the quickest time or take a bit longer to get more points.  The race will include navigation, mountain biking, canoeing, hill walking and running/walking, to various challenges where points will be awarded.
