Here at Fairburn Activity Centre we differentiate between 'Team Gelling' and 'Team Building / Staff Development'

Team Gelling Courses

These bonding exercises are run entirely in-house by our experienced instructors and involve a combination of outdoor activities and individual team challenges. Little or no time is spent inside discussing theoretical concepts or reviewing team performance. The emphasis is very much on fun, laughter and giving colleagues a shared experience to reflect on for months to come. In the evenings we can arrange a number of social events for you. Alternatively, we are happy to leave you alone to relax in the sauna, Jacuzzi baths, lounges and licensed dining room. Typical outdoor instructor to client ratio is 1:8.

Team Building / Staff Development Courses

These courses are tailored to your organisations particular needs. It is often better to bring in a management or Team Development Consultant to facilitate the learning outcomes during these courses. Extra benefit is often gained from the facilitator spending time in your organisation before and/or after the actual course. You may choose to use your own personnel staff, or alternatively we will be happy to recommend a suitable consultant. Time is split between indoor discussions and outdoor team challenges, Evenings can be left free for socialising or can be used to maximise discussion on more intensive courses.

Minimum facilitator to client ratio 1:15

Recommended outdoor instructor to client ratio 1:5

Team building Course Costs

Outdoor instructors are charged at £160 per instructor per day.

Management and Team Development consultants charge from £350 per day

Charges for evening entertainment are passed on to the client at cost. Prices on application

Suggestions for evenings include Malt whisky tastings, wildlife talks, story teller, Highland dancers and Kilt makers.

Special events e.g. Paintball, Lazertag, Mini Highland Games - prices on application.
